Cellular glass (1966) - 5 cm - flat roof
Cellular glass insulation, 5 cm thick, bonded with adhesive
When assessing existing cellular glass insulation, a distinction must be made between retention in the current application and reuse after dismantling.
For stubbornly bonded cellular glass insulation, the clear preference is retention in the existing application. If the insulation layer is still in good condition and can technically be incorporated into the new build-up, it is strongly recommended to keep the existing layer of cellular glass in situ and to avoid further damage from dismantling.
