The partners behind the research.
The research was carried out by the project partners Odisee, UGent and Buildwise.
These project partners were supported by a large and diverse user group, with complementary types of companies and organisations, such as material manufacturers, contractors, architects, reuse traders and sector organisations. Each partner brings its own expertise and knowledge.
In addition, many students contributed to research into possible new test procedures and dismantling methods. Students from the Master of Architecture, Bachelor of Industrial Engineering and Bachelor of Construction programmes all worked on various aspects of the research.
The research is steered by the sector itself.
A user group of architects, demolition and general contractors, insulation manufacturers and material banks met twice a year for a general project update.
In addition, four focus groups were set up. Two workshops (1 per year) were organised for each focus group. During these workshops, the focus group helped decide which questions we investigate. They also validated whether the output is practically usable in the workplace and/or on the construction site.
